Oswestry School FossilsPupils from Year 1 at Bellan House, Oswestry School’s Prep Department made an exciting discovery in their weekly Forest School lesson, finding a fossil which the Natural History Museum has now suggested is likely to be 300-500 million years old.  The children were busy looking for stones to edge a new wildlife pond they are creating, when one of them found a limestone rock covered in coral fossils.  One of the parents investigated further, and contacted the Natural History Museum to ask their advice.  The children were thrilled to learn that the fossils come from a time before the dinosaurs.
