Pupils at Oswestry School have raised over £2,000 in one term for a local charity.

From September to Christmas, pupils collected money from a home clothes day, a Christmas Enterprise Fair, the School’s Founder’s Day celebrations and a bake sale held by the Interact group.

Oswestry School parent, Sally Johnson, founded The Harry Johnson Trust in November 2014 following the death of seven year old Harry in July of that year. Harry died following a nine month fight with Double Hit Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The trust offers help and support to children and teenagers who receive care from the Oncology Team at The Princess Royal Hospital in Shropshire.

Receiving the cheque from the pupils, Sally said: “Thank you so much to everybody at Oswestry School, this is such a lot of money, which will go a very long way.”
