Oswestry School Public Speaking SuccessOswestry School is celebrating record results in this year’s Lamda public speaking and drama exams.  More than sixty pupils took the exams, with many achieving marks of over 90%.  Pupils from Year 2 in Bellan House, Oswestry School’s Prep Department, right through to the Senior School Sixth Form are encouraged and supported to take part in a range of Lamda and ESB exams, covering verse and prose, public speaking and acting.  Tuition starts from Reception age and all pupils are encouraged to take part and feel pride in their achievements.  The school has a rich history of promoting public speaking and drama as a means to increase pupils’ confidence and eloquence.  Teacher Claire Thompson is thrilled with the results, saying “We are hugely proud of all the pupils who took part in the exams. Watching those taking their first exams and the blossoming confidence this gives them is a wonderful sight.”
