Oundle School pupils visit KenyaOver the October Exeat, 13 pupils and 3 staff from Oundle School ventured to the Rift Valley in Kenya, for Oundle’s annual partnership trip to support the work of Kimbo, Ngecho and Murindati schools near Gilgil.

Trip organiser and History teacher, Ian Clark commented, “Whereas in the past we have spent much time making concrete, as the physical demands of the school are now often met, the need for extra-curricular enrichment grows. There are many bright young minds in these schools who need the chance to express themselves more broadly than they get the chance to – and teachers who want to see other ways of achieving their goals.”

The group visited all of Oundle’s partner schools, and undertook a wide range of activities including games of rugby, netball and volleyball; teaching and participating in lessons; meeting the Oundle scholars at the schools and the Ngecho pupils who visited Oundle in 2010; and work at the schools.
