SCHOOL OPENS NEW BOARDING HOUSE

The Park School in Yeovil celebrated the opening of its new Boarding House. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor Cllr Clive Davis and his wife Sally. Chair of Governors, Revd. Ian Green performed the official opening of ‘Bennet House’ named after the founder of the school Mrs Bennet.

Revd Green expressed his thanks to fellow Governor Steve Hart who managed the project for the school, to the builders Strathview Ltd and architects from Slade Parry Ltd. In his dedication prayer, Revd Green added, “May Bennet House be a place of friendship and refreshment, a home from home which enriches all who stay here”.

The new Boarding House will enable the school to offer ‘flexi-boarding’ to local pupils who may want to try out the boarding school experience with our more permanent students from abroad.

They will be well looked after by Karen, Kita and Head of Boarding, Mrs Gomez (as seen in photograph).

Head of The Park Jane Huntington said:
“The opening of Bennet House has given us the opportunity to expand our boarding provision and the new facility is already proving to be a great asset.”
