Gold winners - Physics OlympiadCongratulations to Bromsgrove School physicists who have achieved Gold in the British Physics Olympiad.

The competition has been running for 25 years and is entered annually by over 1,600 talented young physicists. The Olympiad takes the form of an examination-based competition that is designed to challenge and reward the best physicists in British schools.  The students sit two physics exam papers that go beyond the confines of A-level or the International Baccalaureate physics courses.

This year, Bromsgrove students competed on Saturday 19th November in the Physics department.  Their scripts were then sent off to the BPhO to be assessed and ranked against the 1680 physicists in the competition.

Mr Steven Kettle, Head of Physics said “We are extremely pleased with the performance of all of our students in this prestigious competition; taking two golds, in particular, shows the dedication and hard work of students at Bromsgrove.
