Four Plymouth College pupils have been selected to represent Devon at the English Schools Athletics Championships.  The event is being held in Birmingham 11th-12th July and will feature the top young athletes in the country.

Poppy Tank, 16, will run the 800m.  She secured her spot after winning the Devon and South West titles. Devon Champion, Emily Ackford, 16, will compete in the 3000m while another Devon Champion, Lily Mills, 15, will take part in the javelin.  Frankie Aldred, 15, takes on the 1500m steeplechase.

Director of Sport, Sarah Dunn, said: “Devon can only take a total of 35 athletes from across the disciplines, age groups and genders so to have four from the same school is a great achievement.  This is the second year running that four Plymouth College students have made the national event.”
