Plymouth College increases top grades at GCSE

Plymouth College GCSE Results 2015Plymouth College is celebrating its GCSE results this morning after seeing a 9% increase of grades at A*/A, up 19% in the last two years to 49%.  A third of students have achieved seven or more A*/A grades with 12% gaining ten or more.

Luiza Farache Trajano, has walked away with an outstanding 10A*s.  Other top performers include Jonas Ellerington and Eva Trost, both with 9A*s and 2 As, while Fred Aniyi and Emily Graham have achieved an impressive 8A*s and 2 As each.

The overall A* to C pass rate has increased by 4% to 92%.

“Well done to all our students receiving their results today,” said Headmaster Jonathan Standen.  “I am delighted to see the year-on-year increase in top grades.  The hard work and commitment of both students and teachers is clear to see in such a strong set of results, particularly as we are a non-selective school with a number of students for whom English is not their first language.”
