The prop forward from Bere Alston was selected after taking part in an England development weekend at Easter.

Zac was part of a South West squad that took on the North, the Midlands and the South East.

The top 22 players from each of the 4 divisions competed for places on the national squad. Twenty five players were selected, representing 14 counties.

The Plymouth College sixth former is a prominent member of the school’s 1st XV and has taken advantage of the opportunities provided by its rugby programme.

This has included invaluable training during the off season with Championship side, Plymouth Albion.

Also an U19 Irish Exile, Zac’s first outing for the England side will be a tour to Georgia in May.

The team will play two fixtures against Georgia U20s as well as visit schools.

“We are absolutely delighted for Zac”, said Plymouth College Director of Rugby, Richard Edwards. “He’s not only a hugely talented player but also has a great work ethic. The two things combined promise him a great future as a professional player.”
