Plymouth College European Pentathlon ChampionshipsAfter a series of selection events in Britain, Ireland and Germany, four Plymouth College athletes have been selected for the European Championships this summer.

Kerenza Bryson, 16, and Myles Pillage, 17, (both GB) will compete in the Youth A European Pentathlon Championships in the Czech Republic 8-12 July. No strangers to international competitions, Kerenza won team gold in the Youth A World Championships last year while Myles won individual and team bronze medals in the Youth B Europeans.

Eimear O’Neill, 16, (Ireland) and Anne Kleidon, 16, (Germany) will take part in the Youth B European Pentathlon Championships in Portugal 24-27 July.  Both girls are the Youth B champions in their respective countries.

A fifth athlete, Paddy Erskine, 18, competed for Ireland in the European Junior Pentathlon Championships in May in Bulgaria.

“I am delighted that Plymouth College is again being represented at the European Championships,” said Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill.  “These national selections are well deserved and come on the back of some great results for the athletes involved.”
