Plymouth College U9 boys win St Petroc’s cross country

Plymouth College Preparatory School's U9 boys' team came out on top in the St Petroc's Cross Country Plymouth College cross countryChampionships.

After driving through torrential rain on the way to Bude, the sun came out. The wind was cold but it was a good day for a run.

The U9 boys' team came first out of the 100 runners in their section.

The team was Fardeen Gafoor who came 7th, Ben Zickert who came 9th and Lloyd Atwill who came 16th.

The U11 boys also put in an outstanding performance and came second. Individually Ollie Smart was 2nd, Alex Ratsey 8th and Oscar Boyan Irvine 17th.

The U9 girls narrowly missed out coming 4th with Rebecca Eadie 6th, Bronwyn Harris 18th and Abagael Black 28th, closely supported by Jessica Maxwell who was 29th.

More than 20 schools from Devon and Cornwall took part.
