Plymouth_Joe_AndrewsBudding entrepreneur, Joe Andrews, 16, is putting his GCSE business studies into practice with his on-line clothing company, In Apparel.  The Year 11 Plymouth College pupil set up the firm, which sells t-shirts and streetwear, last summer with his brother Matt, 19.  The boys run their thriving business from the family home in Fowey, Cornwall.

“I was looking for a challenge outside of my normal studies and I was inspired by my business studies teacher, Mr Summons”, said Joe.  “Matt had just done his A Levels and so we decided to do it together.

“We wanted our clothing to have real impact and to stand out from the crowd.  Matt and I came up with the designs ourselves and then used a manufacturer to produce the clothing for us.  We have done most of our marketing via social media and are really pleased with sales so far.  We are looking forward to seeing the business grow in the coming months.”
