Plymouth College pupil, Ella Ellis, 14, has had the time of her life filming CITV game show, Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge.
Set on the Napoleonic Fortress of the title off the West Coast of France, the show sees teams of teenagers take on a series of adventurous challenges in a quest to win a pot of gold guarded by tigers. The programme is presented by Laura Hamilton and Geno Segers.
Ella secured her spot with team, the White Falcons, after a series of interviews and an activity day in Birmingham where she had to do raft-racing and tree-climbing. She spent six days filming in France, taking part in individual and team games – the key task involving an ice bath and a pipe was particularly challenging!
“I had the most amazing time”, said Ella. “I’m pretty sporty (Ella is in the U15 West of England Hockey Team) so I really enjoyed all the challenges and pushing myself as much as I could. I can’t wait to see the programme.”
Despite pressure from her friends, Ella remains tight-lipped about which team walks away with the gold. The series starts on Sunday 20 October at 8.30 a.m. Ella’s team join the challenge the following week on Sunday 27 October.
