Pre-Prep celebrated Father's Day by building dens and reading in the woods with their Dads. 
If were down in the woods on Friday 17th of June, you would have encountered not ‘Teddy Bears’ but Bearwood pupils and their Dads as Mrs Porter’s Reception class went on a Father's Day adventure.
On Friday afternoon the Fathers and Grandfathers of Mrs Porter’s class gathered in the woods to undertake a den building challenge.
This was a chance for the children to share the great outdoors of Bearwood College with their Dads and to encourage a joy of reading by sharing a story.
Each child was then able to take home the book they had shared as a momento and share it again at home as a reminder of a great afternoon.
It is so important for Dads to become involved with literacy and this was a perfect way to spend the afternoon, followed by a delicious tea.
