st_marys_school_cambridge_successEnterprising St Mary’s Sixth Formers triumphed at the area heats of the Young Enterprise Competition last week, winning four out of eight of the awards.

The St Mary’s team, named Priceless, was awarded Best Company (Cambridge), Best Company Presentation and Best Financial Control. Toyosi O, Lower Sixth international boarding student, was also awarded Best Business Woman for her role.

Charlotte Avery, Headmistress of St Mary’s Cambridge, commented: “I am thrilled that the St Mary’s team’s hard work and dedication to their enterprise project has been recognised so highly with these awards. Our Young Enterprise Scheme not only enhances our Sixth Former’s business acumen but prepares them for future careers and provides a valuable insight into the world of business.”

Priceless has been producing hand painted and customised mugs. Customers were able to have their name written in a variety of different languages to decorate their product. These have been at available school events and local community functions over the past two terms.

The Priceless team will now go on to Regional Finals at Robinson’s College this June.
