Priors Field School is accepted into London 2012's Get Set NetworkPrior’s Field has been accepted into London 2012’s Get Set Network – the official London 2012
education programme – in recognition of its commitment to Olympic and Paralympic values.
The school is actively involved in the local community, opening its facilities for hire, supporting links
with local sports clubs and running volunteering programmes as part of which its students coach
younger children. The school’s Tennis Academy, run with Orbit Tennis, is well under way and
construction of an all-weather sports pitch is due to be completed by Easter.

To mark the Games, Prior’s Field is planning an Inter-House Olympics Sports Competition in which
every girl in the school will take part. Other departments have already taken up the Olympics
theme, with Maths staff hosting an Olympics Day in conjunction with Cambridge University, Art
Masterclasses to study the movement of athletes and History pupils considering security issues
linked to the Games over the years.
