Priors Field Pupil presents BBC showOn Thursday 24th March 13 pupils from Prior’s Field School will be joining up with around 800 schools across the UK making the news.

The pupils are taking part in BBC News School Report, a BBC project to engage 11-14-year-olds in the news.

Ex-teacher and BBC News presenter, Huw Edwards, is lending his support to the project.

He says: “I'm involved because I want to give young people the chance to make the news themselves, and I want to share the principles of good journalism.”

Head of Media Studies, Sarah Onions said, ‘The students have interviewed visiting speakers and seized any opprtunity to interview friends of the school who may have a news story.’

On Thursday at 1pm the girls will be broadcasting their news at TV Centre, covering the stories of the day as well as their special report on the 70 year old ex-Prior’s Field girl who is running the London Marathon to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes.
