IMG_6804Pupils from Bellan House school have raised an astounding £2,335.17 for the charity NSPCC by going on a sponsored walk to Admiral Rodney’s Pillar on Breidden Hill, Powys.

The pillar was built in 1781–82 to commemorate the naval victories of Sir George Brydges Rodney, Admiral of the White, and was reached by the children on the hottest day of the year so far.

Kate Warner from the NSPCC commented, “I would like to thank all the children for their, and the school’s support.  The amount is completely amazing!  It has been a pleasure to work with the children and the staff of Bellan House.”
