Queen Margaret’s School in Escrick, York is proud to announce another year of exceptional GCSE results, with 60% of entries receiving A*-A results, as compared to the national average of 21.3% and a third of the girls getting 9 or more A*-A grades. 86% of all entries received A*-B grades.

Early reports show a pronounced dip in national results; meanwhile, Queen Margaret’s continues to move from strength to strength, with 99% of all entries receiving A*-C results, as compared with the national average of 68.1%.

Queen Margaret’s Head Master, Dr Paul Silverwood, commented:
We are very proud of the hard work and dedication the girls have given their studies, and these GCSE results reflect their enthusiasm for learning and the skill and commitment of our staff. We look forward to sharing what will no doubt be very exciting A Level results from these students in a few years.
