Queen Margaret’s students take part in Race For Life 2014

On Sunday 22 June, over 160 girls and staff from Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick, will take to the Knavesmire in York to raise funds aiding the fight against cancer. This is the school’s third year participating; so far they have raised nearly £12,000 in aid of the worthwhile cause. This year, the girls hope to significantly add to that figure.

Already they have broken participation records, adding more girls eager to support the cause. Mrs Carole Cameron, Deputy Head of the school, commented:

‘Participating in Race for Life has become a significant event in the charitable activities Queen Margaret’s engages in throughout the year; for many girls this race is very close to their hearts, and we are very excited to be participating for the third year.’
