Repton School’s U18 girls’ hockey team have won the Investec Schools Championships for the third consecutive year.

The side beat Cranleigh School 1-0 at the Nottingham Hockey Centre thanks to a strike from captain Hannah Davey, securing an eleventh title in 14 years. This capped off a fine tournament which saw the school score 12 and concede only once on their way to the final, defeating  St Peter’s York 5-0, Framlingham College 3-1 and Dean Close School 4-0.

Martin Jones, director of hockey and performance sports lead, commented: “It was a great day in Nottingham as our 1st XI won Repton’s third consecutive National U18 School Championship, maintaining our proud record in the competition since our first win in 2005. The win was a fantastic effort from a great bunch of girls – well done to all involved, including our fantastic supporters!”
