Rishworth School was delighted to welcome Mark Cueto as the Guest of Honour at the Official Opening of its new Sport’s Pavilion on 25 May.
The England and British Lion Wing and Full Back unveiled the plaque to the admiring guests and pupils.
Headmaster Richard Baker said that the School was very pleased to have been able to erect a completely new building to replace the old pavilion – all the more so at a time of national economic difficulty. The aesthetically-pleasing and practical new pavilion is also very ‘green’, being of a highly thermally-efficient design. This was demonstrated during the sub-zero temperatures of last year’s particularly bitter winter, when, during an inspection visit as the construction was nearing completion, the interior was found to be as warm as toast when only a single heater-fan was in operation throughout the whole building to help dry fresh paint.
