Charlie’s stint in the Grand Prix car was a highlight for some of the school’s pupils, who were also keen to support their friends engaged in a series of musical performances at the event, which acted as a recruitment driver for the Fleetwood independent school that is attracting an increasing number of enquiries for day places for the next school year.

The Rossall event attracted around 100 guests, and together with showcasing talented musicians, it also featured attractions such as the full-size replica Formula One car of local company, ‘Grand Prix Experience’, plus close up magic and even a bounce-juggling act performed by talented 16-year-old pupil, Thomas Senior.

Sadly, Charlie Adam’s laps in the car were not the quickest on the night, but he’ll be hoping for a speedier return to the Liverpool team now managed by former Swansea man, Brendan Rodgers, when pre-season training resumes.
