Royal Hospital School -150 choristers get together to sing Faure’s Requiem

On the Sunday 16 June, some 150 choristers rehearsed for a performance of Faure’s Requiem in the School chapel. Royal Hospital Schoolchape

The performance also included pieces by the composer’s Cantique de Jean Racine and Pavane played on the organ by William Saunders.

The choir included former choristers of the Royal Hospital School Chapel Choir and former and present members of the Holbrook Choral Society.

It was directed by Peter Crompton with William Saunders at the organ and a considerable sum of money was raised for the Chapel Choir Tour of Northern Germany which takes place at the end of the summer term.
