Son of naval family gains 3A*grades and a place at Oxford

Royal Hospital Schoo A Level Results Alistair Green Naval
Ali with his parents

Royal Hospital School pupil and son of a naval family, Alistair Green, had the widest of smiles on his face this morning as he picked up his  three A*s and a distinction in the Advanced Extension Award in mathematics confirming his place at Oxford to read Physics.

Alistair’s family are based in Portsmouth and his father is a Commander in the Royal Navy. As a result of his father’s job, Alistair and his family have had to relocate many times, particularly, while Alistair was at primary school. Before joining the Royal Hospital School he had attended three schools in less than a year and that was the time that Alistair’s parents decided that this was both unsettling and disruptive to his education. The Continuity of Education Allowance enabled Alistair to join a boarding school providing continuity to his education .

Commander Green said, “We chose the Royal Hospital School for the balanced and full education it provides and also for the excellent pastoral care providing a stable and a nurturing environment. We are delighted with what Alistair has achieved and with the confident, yet grounded young man he has become. This marks the end of a long and happy relationship RHS as Alistair is the youngest of four children who have gone through the school.”

With these exceptional results Alistair will go onto to study Physics at Oxford University having  well exceeded his offer of A*AA.
