A former pupil at The Royal Masonic School for Girls has been named the TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year at a ceremony in London.

Isabella Scanio entered the Management Undergraduate of the Year category and successfully made it through the final 10 from the 4500 who had initially applied. In this category, judges were looking for candidates with an aptitude for customer service and sales, flexibility, leadership, a strong work ethic and great communication skills. The prize included a summer placement with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, including a week at one of its international operations, valuable networking opportunities and the chance to experience different aspects of the business.

On the 26th April 2019, 10 finalists for each award were invited to the Undergraduate of the Year Award Ceremony at Canary Wharf. They were then introduced to other professionals from the renowned businesses that were sponsoring the awards, before the winners were announced.

Isabella was announced as the winner of this prestigious award and is now looking forward to her trip to America to visit the Enterprise Rent-A-Car offices in St Louis in the summer.

Of her achievement, Isabella said: “I never thought that I would get as far as I have and I would recommend applying to the award to anyone. I have not just met friends but I have also met influential people that have inspired me for my future endeavours.”
