Rydal Penrhos School raise money for charityPupils at Rydal Penrhos School raised an incredible £911.17 for the Jeans for Genes charity.

As well as dressing in their jeans for a day, pupils also donated money and enjoyed a sweet treat, as the Sixth Form Charity Committee held a bake sale during morning break.

The fundraising continued as the whole School took part in a 1 mile sponsored walk along Colwyn Bay promenade. The dismal weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the pupils, but perhaps encouraged a few to run rather than walk!

Pupils at Rydal Penrhos Prep School also joined in wearing their jeans to school and learning about the Jeans for Genes charity during morning assembly. The children raised a fantastic £200.

The money raised for Jeans for Genes will help fund research and cures into genetic disorders in children as well as funding care and support. Rydal Penrhos School has a strong belief that pupils should value and serve the community and this is one of many charity days the School will hold this year.
