The ski season drew to a close with a triumphant end this weekend as Rydal Penrhos secured bronze, silver and gold medals at the North Wales School Ski Championships.

Two boys’ teams and one girl’s team represented the School at the Championships with some excellent results.

The girls’ team of Sara Owen, 12 from Colwyn Bay Seren Kerfoot-Robson, 14 from St Asaph, Pia Roth, 16 from Austria and Vanessa Biermannova, 16 from Slovakia all produced runs quick enough to secure 3 Gold and 1 Silver medal in the individual age category races, however they narrowly missed out on first place in the team category and picked up the silver medal.

The Boys ‘B’ team of Solomon Kerfoot-Robson, 12 from St Asaph, Morgan Roberts, 12 from Conwy and Finn Batley, 12 from Nantwich all produced great runs and secured a bronze team medal.

As Welsh Champions, the Boys ‘A’ team entered the competition determined to live up to their favourites billing. Team members Sean Robinson, 13 from Colwyn Bay, Henry Salisbury, 17 from Colwyn Bay and Ben Crocker, 19 from Connecticut successfully filled the podiums in the individual age category races and picked up the Gold medal in the team competition – taking home the North Wales Championship too.
