Results Day 6 July 2014 for Sixth Form IB Diploma at Scarborough College

Scarborough College IB Results DayScarborough College is delighted with another excellent set of results in the prestigious International Baccalaureate examinations.  The College has one of the best performing sixth forms in the north of England, based on its UCAS point scores.

 

The IB Diploma requires students to study six subjects to an advanced level, including maths, a modern language and a science. The maximum possible number of points is 45 with 38 being the accepted benchmark for top universities.  Felix Schleef did particularly well to score 40 points will be going on to study Economics in Germany.  Head boy, James Astin was delighted with his result which will secure his place at Leeds to do Economics with Spanish and Anna Marshall achieved 38 points to go on to study English Literature.

 

The Headmistress of the College, Isobel Nixon said, “The IB represents a real opportunity for students to study both in the UK and abroad.  The international mix in the sixth form and the scope of the diploma create a fantastic environment for study.  We are extremely proud of all our students and wish them well as they go on to their selected courses.”
