Say it with flowers? Not at Scarborough College. Everyone knows the best way is to say it with a special 
Valentine’s Day Cupcake!
Today the school has been raising money for three separate events. The RNLI, Riding for the Disabled and our own 2014 Malawi Expedition.
Adele Marshall, Year 11, has once again been busy baking away in to the late hours. This time she has been taking orders for Valentine Cupcakes.
Students and staff have been able to secretly order a cupcake and have it delivered to their chosen special friend (or as many have done, order one for themselves! )
She has also been busy along with Sophie, Alan and Katie doing the break time cake stall to raise funds for the Malawi Expedition which they are all going on on next year.
Bea Langton and her Year 10 helpers, put together a Valentines Day Hamper which they raffled off, with funds going towards their Malawi fundraising team.
Again, staff and students were invited to buy tickets for the draw in the hope of winning the delightful hamper to then treat someone special! Mrs Nixon drew the raffle at lunchtime and presented it to the winner, Senna Proctor. We all wonder who the lucky lady will be that Senna gives this too!!
Finally, Jess Houghton, last years Head of School, has asked that we support her in her challenge to continue raising money for the RNLI and Riding for the Disabled.
The Senior School has today held a pink and red non uniform day with the proceeds going towards Jess’s chosen charities.
These were the charities supported by the Sixth Form Charity Committee last year, which Jess was involved with and has continued supporting.
She is also planning on completing the Barcelona Half Marathon later in the year. I am sure she would be very grateful for any support and sponsorship towards this challenge.
