Sedbergh School has been placed in the top 15% of schools in the country for the value it adds to pupils’ performance at A-level. The analysis has been undertaken by educational analysts, Alkemygold Ltd, which draws on DfE data from over 12,000 schools and 250,000 pupils across the UK. This is a new repeat of the story told in our ISC inspection report from May.
The Headmaster, Mr Fleck, commented “We are incredibly proud of our pupils and I am equally proud of my colleagues. It’s a statistic that tells us we are serving our pupils well in the classroom; enhancing their opportunities as well as forging their character. Everywhere I look, pupils are making the most of their opportunities and excelling in relation to their individual talents. This is what Sedbergh is all about and I could not be more proud of the achievements of our staff and pupils.” For more information, please see the HM’s blog at The Value of Value Added
