On Saturday 9th March Shebbear College Junior School Gymnastics Teams competed against nearly 600 children 
and won a host of awards and medals in the North Devon Schools Gymnastics Competition in Bideford, hosted by Falcons Gymnastics Academy.
This was the first time Shebbear College had entered the competition and, looking resplendent in their new sparkling gymnastics kits, all the pupils who took part won a medal, some winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Their teacher and trainer, Sue Standford, won an Endeavour Shield for all her hard work coaching the teams. Overall, the junior pupils won 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals.
Overall results included Gold Awards for the U7 Novice Mixed Team and the U7 Novice Girls Team, Silver Awards for Individual Overall U7 Girls Novice and the U11 Novice Girls A Team and Bronze Awards for Individual Overall U11 Novice Girls and the U9 Novice Boys A Team.
