Harry Gration; journalist, TV star and Yorkshireman, will come to St Peter's School in Clifton on Friday 1st February to chair a lively news quiz.
The BBC News Look North presenter will compere proceedings at the event, which will kick off at 8pm.
The quiz will pitch a team of pupils from the school against a team of journalists and parents – so sparks are sure to fly. Taking Have I Got News For You as a rough template the quiz will be not entirely serious, and feature a live audience of York residents.
Organised as part of the St Peter's School Public Lecture series, the event is free to attend and guests will be liberally supplied with tea and biscuits.
The St Peter’s Public Lecture series has gotten off to a strong start in 2013; other events in January have included an evening of Stargazing with The Sky at Night's Chris Lintott, and an audience with England rugby star and charity campaigner Ben Cohen.
