St Swithun’s sports scholar Emily Sambrook Smith, aged 16 from Winchester, has been selected to play in the A team 
for England Lacrosse’s U19 tour to Canada in July 2013.
The tour coincides with the 2013 Lacrosse World Cup in Oshawa, Ontario.
Emily’s selection followed England U19 trials in Gloucestershire earlier in the year.
Emily was also selected to play for England Lacrosse in March at the U19 Home Internationals at Surrey Sports Ground.
England won the tournament, with Emily scoring 5 of the goals.
The event attracted much publicity as it marked the launch of the next FIL (Federation of International Lacrosse) Women’s Lacrosse World Cup which England will be hosting in 2017.
