St Swithuns raise money for charitySt Swithun’s girls listened in assembly to Melanie Hill from Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice as she outlined the important work carried out at the charity’s two hospices and how donations are used for vital services and equipment. Melanie also received a cheque for just under £2500 for the charity which had been raised by the school through a fashion show event held in the previous term. The show was organised by 4 of the upper sixth girls; Izzy Wild and Jessica Rothman from Alresford, Ali Bentall from Romsey and Helena Pratt from Bognor Regis and saw both St Swithun’s girls and Winchester College boys decked out in fine designer clothes from local companies.
