St Swithun’s sports scholar and GB dressage rider Jessica Gale L6 has been selected for the second year running 
for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme.
Annually TASS supports approximately 550 up and coming young athletes who are in full time education.
This recognition of Jessica’s success in the equestrian world will help her with funding for her immediate future in this event.
Jessica, whose top horse Umbro-s has been off competition for eight months due to injury, has been concentrating her efforts on training her second horse Rebellski.
GB selectors initially dismissed Rebel but thanks to Jessica’s determination and hard work have now reconsidered since he achieved such high scores at his first premier league event.
The pair has now been selected to represent Great Britain at their first international competition together which will take place during the Easter holidays. Jessica hopes to have both horses on the teams next year.
