St Swithun’s School National School Girls’ polo champions

St Swithun's School Polo TeamThree teams from St Swithun’s School, Winchester took part in the National Schools Girls’ Polo Tournament at Longdole Polo Club, Gloucestershire on 1 March. Each team played three matches each.

 

The novice team, St Swithun’s C team came first in their class. The team was Harri Waldron, aged 14 from Winchester, Charlotte Ambrose aged 14 from Fairford and Abbie George, aged 14 from Rowland’s Castle.

 

In the intermediate blue category, St Swithun’s B team came third. The team was Catherine van Randwyck aged 13 from Alresford, Ella McKee, aged 12 from Sparsholt and Serena O’Bryan-Tear, aged 12 from Petersfield.

 

In the intermediate red class, St Swithun’s A Team came second. The team was Larissa Westall, aged 16 from Alton, Lydia de Vere, aged 17 from Ringwood and Claire Graham, aged 18 from Andover.  Larissa won a cup for the ‘Most Promising Rider’ award for the competition.
