Stonyhurst is today delighted to share the achievements of our Year 13 pupils, who received their public exam results after studying for the last two years through the pandemic.

Stonyhurst is today delighted to share the achievements of our Year 13 pupils, who received their public exam results after studying for the last two years through the pandemic.

International Baccalaureate Diploma

  • Stonyhurst has continued to outperform the global average of 31.9, with our average point score of 34.4.
  • Over a third of candidates achieved 36+ points, broadly equivalent to 3As at A level.
  • The top points score was 42, a feat achieved by less than 4% of students worldwide, and is equivalent to 4 A*s at A level.
  • Stonyhurst was delighted to see 100% of our International Baccalaureate Career Pathway (IBCP) candidates achieve their certificate conditions. Our top IBCP candidate achieved a UCAS tariff point score of 80 from his IB components alone and is on track for a combined UCAS tariff equivalent of 3 A*s at A level.

A Levels

  • 40% of pupils achieved A*/A
  • Two thirds of pupils achieved A*/B

CTECH

  • 100% of pupils achieved Distinction or a starred Distinction

Next steps

  • University offers have been achieved at a variety of university destinations in the UK, such as Bath, Bristol, Durham, Exeter, IE Madrid, Imperial College London, King’s College London, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Loughborough, Manchester, Newcastle, St Andrews, Sheffield, Warwick and York as well as a range of prestigious institutions across Europe including ESIC Madrid, IE University Madrid, Maastricht University in the Netherlands and Trinity College Dublin.
  • Courses include Archaeology, Art, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Economics, Engineering, English, History, International Relations, Law, Mathematics, Medicine, Performing Arts, Physics, Politics, Psychology and Sport Management
  • Pupils have secured prestigious apprenticeships at Anderton Gables, BAE Systems and Bentley.
