Student from Cambridge Centre for Sixth Form Studies sweeps awards in the national Chemistry, Physics and Maths Olympiads

Cambridge Centre for Sixth Form Studies Science OlympiadWalter Kähm, a student from Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies (CCSS), has received top awards in three national Olympiads: the Royal Society of Chemistry International Olympiad, UK Round (Gold Certificate), the British Physics Olympiad, AS Competition (Gold Award) and the UK Senior Maths Challenge (Silver Certificate).

Walter is originally from Germany and he is studying for his A-levels at CCSS. Walter commented on his achievements: “I want to thank my teachers Dr Mead and Mrs Jarman for the help with the Chemistry Olympiad, Mr Sabberton and Mr Ashford for the preparation for the Physics Olympiad and Mr Webb and Mr Heron for the training classes for the Maths Challenge. I am also very grateful for the support of my tutor Ms Landragon who helped me a lot throughout the whole academic year. Without the help of all these members of staff this would not be possible.”
