As the world prepares for the biggest royal wedding in 30 years, pupils from a Derbyshire school will be watching Kate Middleton’s dress very closely on the day.

When the queen-in-waiting walks down the aisle on Friday, April 29, talented students from Mount St Mary’s College will be recreating her wedding dress whilst watching the ceremony live on television.

Students in the art department will be taking on the royal task of making a replica of Kate’s dress, which could be the first and quickest replica produced worldwide.

Mount St Mary’s preparatory school, Barlborough Hall, will also be holding a Royal Wedding party with a fancy dress theme of red, white and blue and will be celebrating with bunting in the school dining room.
