The Medic programme is a highly specialised 2 year course which runs alongside the A level programme, designed to support students looking to progress onto related degrees at leading universities. Students attend weekly seminars covering topics such as medical ethics, scientific developments and medical careers. Students receive extra preparation for the medical tests (BMAT and UKCAT). The College arranges work placements for students at Cambridge hospitals, shadowing consultants; we also assist students in arranging holiday placements near their homes, and with volunteer work with organisations such as the Red Cross and Oxfam.

They also receive personally tailored higher education advice, to give them the best chance of success with their applications. Assistance includes mock interviews with an in-house panel of tutors, external interviews with medical experts, and the chance to participate in group presentations.
