CHILDREN’S LANTERNS LIGHT UP SUNNY HILL PREP SCHOOL GROUNDS
The grounds of Sunny Hill Preparatory School, Bruton School for Girls, were lit up last week by children taking part in the school’s traditional lantern walk.

Sunnyhill Prep children on their annual lantern walk around the grounds. All week boys and girls from Nursery to Year 2 had crafted their own lanterns from glass jars and craft paper, producing jewel-like lanterns to light their way.

The procession of children paraded through the school campus providing a colourful spectacle for parents and friends.

A wonderful evening was rounded off with an Autumn Concert, which featured instrumental and choral performances by all children from Reception to Year 6.

Head of Sunny Hill Prep, Mrs Helen Snow, said ‘ At the start of the evening the Nursery class performed their ‘stick dance’ and invited audience participation, this got the evening off to a lively start! The lantern walk is always a rather magical part of the evening. At the concert we were all impressed by the enormous amount of musical talent in the Prep School. ‘
