Felsted pupils have recorded more outstanding results in their GCSE exams, following on from excellent results in A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma earlier this summer.

Headmaster, Mr Chris Townsend, comments; “There are some exceptional results this year, with 23 pupils achieving 7 or more A* and A grades, and 40% of all GCSE exams being graded at A or A*.  English and Maths again excelled, with pass rates of 97 and 98% respectively, and 55 A* grades shared across these subjects. English Language, English Literature, Greek, Latin, Maths, Religious Studies and Theatre Studies all achieved more than 85% A*-B.  Achieving these results requires a team effort from all the teaching staff, pastoral support, parental commitment, and, of course, the hard work and determination of the students in achieving these results.”

Among the standout performers were Shola Akindayini, Chloe Green, Peter Hipkin, James Austin, Matthew Hudson-Lund, Barnaby Stoner, Bertie Webster, Siosi Tameifuna, George Harvey, Amber Aitken, Harry Sturge, Bram Emsley and Silas Turner Jones. Many others also outperformed their predictions.
