Swimming success for Queen’s College

queens_college_swimming_successBoth boys and girls swimming teams from Queen’s College, Taunton pulled out all the stops to achieve a double win in the annual Meade King Cup, for the second year running. Queen’s swimmers beat rival schools Wellington, Taunton & Kings at every age level from U14 up to U18.

In a town with fierce inter-school rivalry, the Meade King is always vigorously foght for in the pool. For the first time in many years the trophy was presented to the winners by Mr Meade King himself, who had travelled to the UK from Canada for the event.

Individual winners were as follows:

Winners: Darius Vahdati (2), Tess Down (2), Keren Greenow (2), Dom Alcock, Zavier Chan, Boys U15 medley relay team (Jonathan Mudge, James Kwok, Dominic Alcock and Zavier Chan). Boys’ U16 medley relay team (Jack Musgrave, Jo Fender, Adam Carthew and Henry Roberts), Girls’ senior medley relay team (Bethany Harrison, Francesca Fender, Lydia Riches and Isla Ness)
