TASIS graduates bound for top tier Universities and Colleges

TASIS – The American School in England recently celebrated the graduation of 113 senior students, with students securing placements in their chosen university and colleges across 11 countries around the world.

Graduates received 78 scholarship offers from top tier establishments including from US, UK, Canada, Switzerland and Spain.

  • 50% of the Class of 2019 will attend Colleges across the USA, including Cornell University, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Pennsylvania.
  • 30% of students will transition to UK Universities, including Russell Group Universities such as LSE, King’s College London and University of Edinburgh.
  • 20% are set to attend Universities across the world, including the University of Amsterdam and McGill University.

At the graduation ceremony, guest speaker, Tori James, the youngest British women to climb Mount Everest at aged 25, presented a series of academic prizes to the graduating class and shared her inspirational mountaineering experiences and approach to pushing boundaries and overcoming challenges.

Reflecting on the success of TASIS’ Class of 2019, Bryan Nixon, Head of School, commented: “We feel privileged to have taught such a smart and ambitious group of students. By nurturing their intellectual curiosity and inspiring their international mindedness, we have helped them to choose the right pathway to fulfil their potential.”
