Taunton School has been recognised as one of the leading independent schools in the UK after being shortlisted for four national awards.
The school is now through to the semi-final of the Independent Schools of the Year Awards in the sports, careers, boarding and international categories.

The school has 340 sports and activity clubs, a thriving boarding community, a state-of-the-art international school in the pipeline and a focus on careers which starts at age three, all of which caught the attention of the judges who put the school through to the next stage of the awards
process.
The Independent Schools of the Year Awards ‘highlight the excellence of the student experience offered by the UK’s amazing independent schools’.
The full titles of the awards Taunton School has been shortlisted for are:
- Independent School of the Year for Student Careers Programme
- Independent School of the Year for Sporting Achievement
- Independent Boarding School of the Year
- British International School of the Year
Finalists will be announced in September and winners will be crowned at an awards ceremony in October.
