Bishop’s Stortford College girls hockey squads were thrilled to take part in pre-season hockey training with Team GB goalkeeper Amy Gibson and Olympic Gold Medal winner Shona McCallin.
On Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September, Bishop’s Stortford College welcomed goalkeeper Amy Gibson and Olympic Gold Medal winner Shona McCallin from GB Hockey for some pre-season training with the girls hockey squads.
The girls were really excited to see an Olympic medal ‘in the flesh’ and also put in some hard work on their drills and skills; Shona and Amy also enjoyed the day, later commenting on Twitter how polite and energetic pupils were and how much they’d enjoyed their time with them.
The girls will benefit from further sessions with Team GB Hockey players later in the Autumn term.
