Some of the Ten Tours teamStover School’s Anna-Mae Cole took part in the Jubilee Challenge for the second year, this time she successfully completed the JC2 route of 14.4km, walking partly on military roads and partly on the open moor including an ascent of Yes Tor. She completed her route just before midday – her supporter, Hannah Williams (Stover’s Sports Captain) said: ‘At times I had to almost run to keep up with her!’

Stover’s 35 mile team was the youngest group from Stover ever to attempt Ten Tors and they did a fantastic job, coming in at 14.44 hours. The 45-milers, including Anna-Mae’s brother Will, came in just over an hour later. Team Managers Colin Brown and Amanda Head are very proud of all of them. ‘We are so impressed with their commitment and determination to succeed, even when the going got really tough. The 35-mile team showed a great depth of maturity and we know they’ll all be back for another go next year.’
