Chelsey Bishop (U6) has won first prize in the Anteros East Anglian Schools Portrait competition, which was open to all schools in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Her untitled work, a portrait of her grandmother (pictured) will be exhibited at the Anteros Arts Centre in Norwich until January 12.
Three other sixth-formers from The Leys: Flora Buchanan, Javier Mondragon Sanchez and Charlotte Taylor, will also have their work displayed there.
Chelsey wins £100. it is her second competition success of the year – she took second prize in the annual Imagining the Brain art project, organised by Cambridge’s prestigious Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (MRC-LMB), with her sensitive study of a young boy with autism.
