The Leys, Cambridge winning portrait

Chelsey Bishop (U6) has won first prize in the Anteros East Anglian Schools Portrait competition, which was Leys Cambridge winning portrait open to all schools in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Her untitled work, a portrait of her grandmother (pictured) will be exhibited at the Anteros Arts Centre in Norwich until January 12.

Three other sixth-formers from The Leys: Flora Buchanan, Javier Mondragon Sanchez and Charlotte Taylor, will also have their work displayed there.

Chelsey wins £100. it is her second competition success of the year – she took second prize in the annual Imagining the Brain art project, organised by Cambridge’s prestigious Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (MRC-LMB), with her sensitive study of a young boy with autism.
