The Mount is celebrating another year of A Level success with the School seeing its highest ever percentage of A* grades at 24% and half of all girls achieving at least one A*.

 

Julie Lodrick, Principal, said, “We are incredibly proud of the girls’ achievements this year. Not only have they succeeded in gaining fantastic A Level grades that have got them to world-class universities, they have also developed an impressive range of skills that will ensure their future success.

Two girls have accepted offers to study at Oxford University; Head Girl Holly Gardiner, to read PPE at Hertford and Maddy Taylor, who will study Classics at St Hilda’s.

 

Three girls have achieved the required grades to read Medicine. Fathin Mumtazah Hj Abdul Manap and Yan Ling Pang, both Deputy Head girls and Brunei Scholars will study at Leicester University and Hull and York Medical School respectively. They will be joined in the profession by Amy Granville who will be studying at Nottingham University.

 

Alice Boddy will be taking up a much coveted place at The Northern Ballet School to pursue her ambition to dance professionally.

 

Mention should also be made of Adeline Poh, the School’s third Brunei Scholar, who, after achieving 4 A*s, will study Chemistry at Durham.
